Terms & Conditions
1. General
Honeysuckle Cottage is offered for self-catering holidays on a weekly basis,
from Saturday to Saturday (7 nights).
Short breaks from Saturday to Monday (2 nights), Friday to Monday (3 nights) and
Monday to Friday (4 nights) are available during some periods of the year.
Accommodation is available from
4pm on the day of arrival until 10am on the day of departure.
Accommodation is for a maximum of 2 adults. In addition a baby could be accommodated
but no facilities are provided.
Sorry, we do not accommodate pets. Please do not smoke in the accommodation.
2. Booking your holiday
A booking will be confirmed on receipt of a deposit of £100, or on receipt of payment of
the full price of the let for (a) short breaks or (b) if the booking is made less than
6 weeks from the start date of the let.
Provisional bookings will be held for up to 7 days to allow payment to reach us.
Bookings will only be accepted from persons aged 18 or over. At least one of those
staying in the cottage must be aged 18 or over.
3. Payment for your holiday
If you have paid a deposit, payment of the balance of the price of the let falls due 6
weeks before the start of the let. Failure to pay the balance by this date will result in
the cancellation of your booking and the forfeit of your deposit.
4. Damage deposit
A damage deposit of £50 is required, to be paid at the time you pay for your holiday. This will be
reimbursed by cheque after the end of your holiday less the cost of making good any breakages or damage,
or additional cleaning required.
5. Cancellation
If you cancel your booking we will try to re-let the cottage. If we cannot re-let the property
all payments made, other than any damage deposit, shall be forfeited. Any damage deposit paid will
be returned in full.
If we succeed in re-letting the property any payments made will
be returned less £50. There are many low cost holiday insurance policies available that can provide
some cover against financial losses due to unforseen circumstances.
6. Overseas bookings
Bookings are welcome from outside the UK. Payment must be made
in UK Pounds Sterling.
7. Information
Prior to the start of your holiday we will send out additional information detailing cottage location,
where to get keys etc.
8. Equipment
Honeysuckle Cottage is furnished and equipped to high standard for 2 people. A full inventory is provided
and this should be checked on arrival, and any discrepancies reported.
Television is analogue terrestrial.
9. Linen
Bed linen and towels are provided. For fortnight bookings fresh bed linen and towels will be provided for the
second week.
10. Fuel/Electricity
A supply of coal is provided for the open fire. Electricity is included in the rent.
11. Garden
The garden ground around Honeysuckle Cottage is shared with the adjacent property. Residents have full
access to the garden but it is also an access route to the neighbouring house.
12. Cleaning
The cottage is cleaned between each let. It is, however, a condition of your let that you leave the
property and its contents clean and tidy. Any excess cleaning required will lead to a deduction from
the damage deposit.
13. Limit of Liabilities
The use of the accommodation and amenities is entirely at the holidaymaker's own risk,
and no responsibility can be accepted for injury, nor for the loss or damage to the
holidaymaker's belongings. No responsibility can be accepted for loss or damage to any car or its contents.
14. Complaints
It is important to us that you enjoy your holiday and we make every effort to ensure this.
However, in the event of dissatisfaction with the property or any subsequent problem, please contact
us immediately so that we have the opportunity to rectify the problem.
15. Web site
We do everything we can to ensure the accuracy of the information on our web site.
The information is given in good faith. We reserve the right to make changes in the
interests of improvement.
Privacy Statement:
Our booking procedures require customers to provide contact information,
such as name, address, email and telephone numbers.
Any personally identifiable information you share with us will be used for the
purposes of processing your enquiry or booking, and providing you with holiday
information.
We are the sole owner of the information collected on our website.
We only request information that is essential, and we do not sell or distribute
that information to any third party.
